3. From the right pane, configure the options described below:

Option Description

Check for updates auto-

matically

Connect to the GFI update servers and download product updates automatically.

Select When the application starts up, or specify a day and time when to check and

download updates.

Install updates automatically If an update is found, GFI EndPointSecurity will download and install the update auto-

matically.

Show messages in the appli-

cation

If an update is found and installed, a message is displayed in GFI EndPointSecurity

application.

Send alerts to the GFI End-

PointSecurityAdministrator

user

Once an update is downloaded and installed, an email message is sent to the GFI End-

PointSecurity Administrator. For more information, refer to Configuring the alerts

administrator account (page 131).

Check for updates Click the link to instantly run the GFI EndPointSecurity updates engine, download

and install any missing updates.
